Best Ever Spaghetti Bolognese
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 carrot, finely diced
1 celery stalk, finely diced
500g (1 lb) minced beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
1 can (400g) diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 cup (250ml) beef stock
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
300g (10 oz) spaghetti
Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish
Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions:
Sauté the Vegetables: In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft.
Brown the Meat: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the minced meat. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes.
