I found this on my bed, mixed with my cat’s hair: I was horrified when I realized what it was and went to the hospital immediately.

Recently, I noticed small, round, yellowish balls on my bed, mixed with my cats’ hair.
At first, I thought it was just dirt—it happens, cats jump on windowsills, their paws aren’t always clean. But these balls were too hard, too regular, and it definitely wasn’t sand.
This worried me. I took a photo and started researching. The more I read, the more a cold shiver ran down my spine.
They were tapeworm eggs – a parasite that can live not only in animals, but also in humans. I was left breathless.
My cats live indoors, but I sometimes walk them on leashes, and they could have picked up the parasite that way—worm eggs can be found anywhere: in grass, dirt, even on a person’s shoes.
I immediately took both cats to the vet.
