Normally, during sleep, the brain is able to manage the urge to urinate. But if sleep is disrupted, many of the brain’s functions will also be affected, including this one.

Coffee or tea should be avoided  (11/12)

In addition to excessive screen use, other factors can disrupt bladder management at night, such as drinking so-called diuretic beverages, i.e., those that promote the elimination of urine, like tea or coffee.

On RTL radio, doctor Jimmy Mohamed offered one possible reason for nighttime awakenings to urinate. Once again, screen time may be a contributing factor.
