Why avoid keeping it?
A stuck clock can unconsciously block your own progress in grief. It becomes a constant reminder of the precise moment of loss, freezing the emotion instead of allowing it to flow. It’s more soothing to reset it … or to let it go gently.
Medicines and medical devices

When illness has been part of the end of life, there are often boxes of medicine, a blood pressure monitor, bandages, a pillbox… Sometimes they are kept “just in case” or because one does not dare to throw them away.
Why get rid of it?
These objects carry the memory of suffering and vulnerability. They are strongly linked to a difficult period and can continue to weigh on the atmosphere of a home without us even realizing it. Disposing of them carefully (at a pharmacy, for example) also helps to lighten the emotional climate of the house.
