Clove Benefits for Skin: Oil, Gel, & Ice Cubes for a Flawless Glow

Clove ice cubes provide a quick, invigorating treatment that minimizes pores and calms the skin, making them perfect for a morning routine.

DIY Clove Ice Cubes Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp cloves (whole or slightly crushed)
  • 8–10 mint leaves
  • 1 cup filtered water

Method:

  1. Infuse: Bring the cup of water to a boil. Add the cloves and mint leaves.
  2. Steep: Turn off the heat and let the mixture steep for 20–30 minutes until the water cools and turns a light amber color.
  3. Strain: Strain the infused water into a large measuring cup, discarding the solids.
  4. Freeze: Pour the liquid into a clean ice cube tray and freeze until solid (about 4 hours).

How to Use:

  1. Wrap: Never apply the ice directly to your skin. Wrap a single clove ice cube in a thin cloth or a piece of gauze.
  2. Apply: Gently massage the wrapped ice cube over your face for 30–60 seconds after cleansing in the morning. Focus on the T-zone and areas with large pores.
  3. Finish: Pat your face dry and continue with your regular toner and moisturizer.

Benefits:

  • Pore Minimizer: The cold temperature and astringent properties of the cloves and mint immediately tighten and shrink pores.
  • De-Puffing: Reduces morning puffiness and redness, especially around the eyes.
  • Refreshing Toner: Provides an immediate wake-up call and a subtle, healthy glow.

🛑 Important Note on Clove

Clove is extremely powerful. Always perform a patch test on a small area of your inner arm before applying any clove preparation to your face, especially if you have sensitive skin. Discontinue use if redness, itching, or irritation occurs.
